The World’s Data Blockchain For AI
What is Openledger?
OpenLedger is a data blockchain designed for AI, offering a decentralized trust infrastructure to create specialized language models (SLMs). By leveraging “Datanets” to collect and curate data, OpenLedger facilitates the development of these models, which are then utilized by AI agents, chatbots, copilots, and various other applications.

What is OpenLedger Testnet?
The OpenLedger Testnet is the foundational step in building the OpenLedger ecosystem. It focuses on collecting and curating data through specialized networks known as Datanets. The first of these, the Data Intelligence Datanet, is dedicated to gathering and refining internet data for AI applications.
Network Earnings
Openledger’s testnet rewards system incentivizes active node participation, encouraging consistent engagement and contribution to the network. Here’s how you can maximize your earnings and stay eligible:
Eligibility
To start earning points on the Openledger network:
- You must run at least one beat on your node. A beat signifies active participation and connectivity to the testnet.
How to Get Started with OpenLedger
1. Visit the OpenLedger Testnet
Signup and create an account: https://testnet.openledger.xyz/?referral_code=zpnw65bcka
Note: kindly use the referral link for additional point
2. Download the Tools
Install the mobile app to enable easy access and interaction with the platform.
3. Claim Rewards
Use the platform’s “Claim Daily” feature to earn OpenLedger Testnet points for your contributions.
Claim Rewards Daily
By clicking on claim everyday, you can earn extra 50 testnet points everyday.
Earning Rate
Here’s a table summarizing the earning potential for active nodes based on their uptime over different time intervals:
Additional Note:
Nodes must remain active for at least one heartbeat (30 seconds) to start earning. Ensuring continuous uptime and activity is key to achieving maximum rewards in each time interval.
Disclaimer
- Testnet Points Are Not Tokens (Yet): These testnet points are not a 1:1 conversion for tokens or any other cryptocurrency at this stage. Their value is currently limited to the testnet environment.
- DYOR: https://openledger.gitbook.io/openledger
• Conversion Announcement: A conversion mechanism to tokens will be announced during the mainnet launch. Stay tuned for further updates.
• Uninstalling Nodes: If you uninstall your node at any point, all accumulated points will be lost. Ensure continued node operation to maintain eligibility for rewards.
By adhering to the guidelines and keeping your node active, you’ll maximize your network earnings and set the stage for future benefits as Openledger transitions to mainnet. 🚀
Let’s start the Node on Desktop:
- They have only shared the GUI node guide. you can run it in the Windows and ubuntu GUI. CLI guide they have not shared yet.
- Oncey they have shared the CLI Guide I will update this article. CLI VPS user Ignore it.
Step 1: Access the Store
Visit the OpenLedger Testnet Website to download the node installer.
Step 2: Install Docker
- Click the provided link (as shown in the popup) to download and install Docker.
- Open Docker after installation (sign-in is not required).
Step 3: Download the Node
- Use the given link to download the Windows node installer zip file.
- Unzip the downloaded folder. Click the .exe file to install the node.
- Proceed with the installation by following the prompts.
Step 4: Open and Login
- Open the node application.
- Existing Users: Log in with your existing account.
- New Users: If you don’t have an account, click Create an Account and follow the instructions to register.
Step 5: Set Up the Node
- After logging in, click on the Setup Node button.
- Follow the prompts to complete the setup process.
Step 6: Connect the Node Worker
- Once logged in, click the Connect button to initiate the node worker.
- When the connection is successful, the button will turn green.
Step 7: You’re All Set!
Your node is now connected.
Final Step: View Stats and Nodes
Visit the OpenLedger Testnet website, log in, and click the dashboard to view your stats and connected nodes.
VPS Setup:
- We will run the open ledger on our VPS via XRDP.
XRDP is an open-source software that allows users to connect to a Linux-based system (or other UNIX-like systems) using the Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP). RDP is typically associated with Windows systems, and XRDP enables RDP clients (like Microsoft’s Remote Desktop Client) to connect to Linux machines, offering a similar remote desktop experience.
- Execute the script below: it will create a GUI interface where you can access the Ubuntu OS via RDP.
wget -q https://raw.githubusercontent.com/CryptonodesHindi/CNH-Shellscripts/refs/heads/main/CNH-openledger.sh&& chmod +x CNH-openledger.sh&& ./CNH-openledger.sh
- It will take around 20 to 30 minutes to install the XRDP.
- Once done, open the RDP and connect your VS by entering your VPS IP.
- Now login to the XRDP by providing your VPS username and password.
- Execute the below command inside the RDP terminal.
- follow the video guide.
openledger-node --no-sandbox
Connection Failed:
If it shows ‘connection failed,’ check the port in your VPS using the following command:
ss -tulpn|grep 8080
To kill the process that is using port 8080, execute the following command in your VPS.
sudo lsof -t -i:8080 | xargs sudo kill -9

Android User:
1. Access the OpenLedger Testnet
Navigate to the OpenLedger testnet at testnet.openledger.xyz. Log in to the system using your social authentication
2. Download the Android App
Download the Android app and log in using the same social authentication (use the same Gmail account).
3. Register Your Device
Once logged in, your device will be registered as a new worker, and you can start earning as soon as you run a node (30 seconds) .
4. Daily Rewards
Click the “Daily Rewards” button to earn an additional 50 points.
Earning Mechanism
Openledger offers a dynamic and evolving reward structure to incentivize contributions
Testnet Earnings
1. Network Earnings: Earn points by running nodes and actively contributing to the testnet infrastructure.
2. Referral Earnings: Invite others to join as node operators and earn static rewards for successful referrals.
3. Bonus Earnings: Additional points rewarded during specific events, milestones.
These testnet rewards pave the way for a thriving mainnet ecosystem, giving participants a head start in understanding and contributing to Openledger’s decentralized AI network.
4. Additionally, you can earn one point by doing a social activity. You can find more details here. Link here.
